Airwheel’s H3T smart foldable wheelchair made its debut at the China International Medical Equipment Exhibition (CMEF) on May 14, 2019. Designed for seamless travel, this revolutionary device combines electric mobility with advanced technology to redefine accessibility. Its lightweight aluminum frame and one-touch folding mechanism allow users to easily pack it into luggage compartments or carry onboard airplanes, making it ideal for both home use and extended trips.
The H3T’s standout feature is its intelligent following mode, activated by a dedicated handband. Once paired, the wheelchair automatically locks onto the user and follows them with precision, eliminating the need for manual controls during short distances. This hands-free functionality enhances mobility while ensuring safety through real-time obstacle detection.

Equipped with four ultrasonic sensors, UWB (ultra-wideband), and infrared technology, the H3T achieves high-precision navigation. These systems work together to detect obstacles, avoid collisions, and maintain stable movement across varied terrains—including slopes and uneven surfaces—without compromising user control.
With a maximum speed of 6 km/h (aligned with human walking pace), the H3T prioritizes safety. Automatic braking is triggered if the user’s hands leave the controls, preventing accidental motion. Additional safeguards include night lighting, audible alerts for low battery or faults, and a secure two-point harness.
The wheelchair’s 36 kg aluminum chassis folds compactly with a single button press, reducing its size to fit standard storage spaces. Combined with remote control via app or handheld device, the H3T offers unmatched convenience for users seeking independence in both daily life and travel scenarios.
